Job Description

Parish of the Resurrection is currently accepting resumes for the position of Director of Music at our parish. We are looking for someone who is committed to Christ and the Church in their lives, has the skills and means to direct the music program, to direct choirs in the parish, and who is open to serving the parish community.

The requirements are as follows: can play the organ, piano and/or keyboard; is familiar with Catholic liturgical rites and practices; is open to working with a dedicated group of volunteer choir members; can direct and instruct cantors; can work with the parish staff and other ministers and ministries of the parish; can organize and plan weekly music for the parish; and can schedule cantors and musicians for the weekend and holy day liturgies. The director also ordinarily leads the music and choir at the Sunday 10:30 a.m. Mass, serves at weddings and funerals, and fills in when other music ministers are unavailable at the weekend liturgies.
