The Campus Minister for Liturgical Music, part of a 30 person campus ministry team, sets a vision for music ministry at UD and provides leadership in Catholic worship as an active member of the liturgy team. Primary responsibilities include cultivating an appreciation for musical prayer in the campus community and providing leadership in music ministry at regular campus liturgies, special event liturgies, funerals/memorials, weddings and other special prayer services. Responsibilities also include utilizing a collaborative style of ministerial leadership to recruit, develop and direct choirs, lead assembly music, select liturgical music from a variety of cultural and musical styles, and provide catechetical formation for student choir directors, music ministers, and assemblies. This minister coordinates and ensures appropriate music for weddings that occur in the Immaculate Conception Chapel.
