Job Description

• Flexible hours per week schedule
• Responsibilities include a) forming young people to live as disciples of Jesus Christ b) foster the personal and spiritual growth of each young person c) draw young people and their families to responsible participation in the life and mission of the St. Teresa of Avila faith community
• Middle School is to be the initial primary focus with an aim to building the ministry over the years to include grades 11& 12

Educational and Clearance Requirements

• Minimum of a Bachelor Degree; concentration in Youth Ministry preferred
• Local/State/Federal Clearances; criminal check/child abuse
• Completion of other Safe Environment Programs through the Archdiocese
• Valid Driver’s License

Experience and Skills

• Fully initiated, participating member of the Roman Catholic Church
• Committed to following the teachings, beliefs and life of the Church
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
• Fluent in current social media
• Ability to relate and work well with a variety of constituents including the parish clergy, lay adults and youth
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed
•  Excellent Supervisory skills
• Skills in counseling/listening encouraged
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Self-motivated
