Job Description

St. Timothy Catholic School in Southwest Miami Dade, FL seeking an seeking a Curriculum Coordinator to assist the principal in planning, organizing, and implementing all functions which are essential to the operation of a responsive, effective, and efficient instructional environment which provides maximum opportunity for student growth and ensures quality of all academic programs to achieve the fullest attainment of the school’s unique Catholic mission.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education, Curriculum, or Educational Leadership required Master’s degree in Education preferred.
• Certifications in Elementary Education and/or Educational Leadership preferred.
• Must foster student achievement by developing and providing instructional strategies, curriculum resources, and professional enrichment opportunities that enhance each child’s desire for learning and unique learning modality, facilitating each child to reach his/her intellectual potential and nurture his/her spiritual development.
• Assist in identifying best practices and promoting student achievement and organizational improvement.
• Disaggregate data to produce improvement in delivery of instruction and student performance.
• Monitor the implementation of appropriate diagnostic tools to identify, apply, and assess instructional/organizational improvements.
• Collaborates in the development of the school improvement plan and ongoing responses to the plan for the FCC accrediting process.
• Works with the Principal to provide professional development programs for the faculty.
• Must have 5 years of experience.
• Must be supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church; experience in Roman Catholic environment preferred.
• Excellent oral and written English-language communication skills, including clear speaking voice; Spanish required. Must be able to multi-task and retain accuracy in an environment of competing deadlines. Must have a professional demeanor.
