Bishop O’Connell High School, a diocesan Catholic co-educational college preparatory high school with 1,200 students located in Arlington, Va., is seeking an experienced Manager of Annual Giving.
The Manager will be responsible for planning and executing a comprehensive and strategic Annual Giving program. The Manager will apply current annual giving best practices to grow the Annual Fund through increased revenue, participation, retention and average gift size.
•Develop a strategic annual giving plan and related materials to achieve annual goals
•Implement communication strategies through direct mail, email and social media platforms
•Manage a portfolio of 100+ Annual Fund leadership donors
•Analyze giving data and prepare appropriate reports
•Identify and manage a committee of annual giving volunteers
•Coordinate donor receptions and special events
•Attend and support Advancement events as needed
•Develop and sustain an Alumni Reunion Giving Program
•Participate actively in the life of the Bishop O’Connell community
•Minimum of five years in the fundraising field or transferrable skills or experience
•Proven track record of achieving annual revenue targets or goals
•Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
•Strong written and interpersonal communication skills
•Demonstrated ability to think and plan strategically
•Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively as a team member
•Strong quantitative and analytical skills
•Experience developing and executing an annual budget
•Proven volunteer management and event planning skills a plus
•Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university
•Knowledge of Raiser’s Edge or data base management experience
•Proficient in Microsoft Office applications especially Word, Excel and Power Point
