This is a highly visible role and as such, employee must possess the utmost professionalism, confidentiality, and integrity. The Director of Liturgy and Music actively supports the philosophy, principles, and teachings of the Catholic Church; attends services; assists with ministries and similar activities. Presence at liturgies and functions at All Saints Catholic Church is essential, although you may be registered in and regularly attend another parish. The following tasks are considered representative responsibilities of the position. To perform the job successfully the Director of Liturgy and Music must possess the abilities and attitude to perform each duty proficiently.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Successfully pass required background checks, completion of Archdiocesan VIRTUS training and signature of Archdiocesan professional code of conduct prior to start date.
Support the ministry of the pastor and parish at large suburban Catholic Community. Overseeing all aspects of Liturgy and Music for the parish. All Saints’ Director of Liturgy and Music is responsible for planning and providing appropriate music and environment for liturgical celebrations at All Saints Parish, recognizing that liturgy is “participation of the People of God in the work of God” (USCCB). This person is expected to work collaboratively with priests, other liturgical and parish staff, and parishioners to promote and communicate the parish mission.
