Job Description

The Director of Mission Integration and Campus Ministry is a full-time, twelve month position that is responsible for developing a deepened awareness of Hilbert College’s Catholic Franciscan mission and ensuring its implementation and integration into the decisions, policies, procedures, programs, and activities of the College. The position also serves the Liturgical, pastoral, and spiritual needs of the College community, particularly its students, in a manner consistent with the norms of the Roman Catholic Church. This individual plans, coordinates, and executes mission-based programs, on-going formation programs, liturgical activities, retreats, service projects, and Masses. Since this position is related to the spiritual life of the College, the individual must be a person of faith and prayer. This individual shares supervisory responsibility of the College Chaplain and is responsible to the College President as well as reports periodically to the Administrative Council.

Requirements/Qualifications

• Understanding and supportive of the Roman Catholic faith tradition
• Ability to intelligently and persuasively articulate the Franciscan and Roman Catholic faith tradition in a pluralistic, secular, and often skeptical milieu
• Demonstrated proficiency with facilitating group discussions and faith sharing group activities
• Good planning and project management ability; ability to establish rapport with a diverse population; collaborative/team-oriented style
• Budget oversight
• Informed about the Franciscan movement and ability to integrate and model Catholic Franciscan values in College relations and activities
• Master’s degree in Divinity, Theology, Pastoral Ministry or related field
• Two (2) years of campus ministry experience or five (5) years of ministry experience in other settings; educational administrative experience.
