The Executive Assistant serves as the primary point of contact for internal and external constituencies on all matters pertaining to the Office of the President. The ideal individual will have the ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, with strong written and verbal communication, administrative and organization skills, and the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities. The Executive Assistant will have the ability to work independently on projects, from conception to completion, and must be able to work under pressure at times to handle a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with discretion. The Executive Assistant must embrace and advance the Catholic mission and identity of the University through personal conduct that upholds the utmost confidentiality of the office and represents the highest Christian standards.
This position reports to the President.

1. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a field related to area of assignment; or an Associate’s degree combined with two years (4,000 hours) of work experience directly related to the skills required for successfully performing this position.
Experience used as an equivalent of an educational requirement is in addition to any experience required for the position.
2. Five years (10,000 hours) of progressively responsible experience in a professional office setting.
Administrative Salary Range between $45,000 – $55,000 depending on qualifications and experience. Ave Maria University provides a generous benefits package. Newly hired Administrators serve a one-year probationary period.
