Job Description

The Executive Director directs and coordinates health care services for very low income and uninsured families and individuals. Supervises the operation of the VTCC and reports to the Board
of Directors. Serves as the liaison to volunteers, benefactors, and community agencies. Promotes and assures a compassionate, caring milieu respectful of each individual.
Experience and Education Requirements

• Development experience through grant writing and fundraising.
• Experience serving immigrant and underserved populations in a clinical or similar environment.
• Management of clinic operations along with the executive skills to develop business and
  marketing plans for building community awareness, and identify clinic service opportunities.
• Understanding the value and necessity of volunteers for the clinic.
• Knowledge of financial procedures including payroll, budget development and Profit & Loss
  statements. Computer skills; creating spreadsheets and documents. Minimum Bachelor degree with at least three years’ experience.

Major Responsibilities

• Responsible to the Board of Directors for the administration and direction of Clinic activities in accordance with the stated mission and philosophy of the organization.
• Responsible to the Board of Directors for securing appropriate licensure for all Clinic operations and ensuring quality care in all levels of services.
• Responsible to the Board of Directors for monthly reporting of Clinic patient activity.
• Responsible to the Board of Directors for an up-to-date accounting and financial records.
• Responsible for ensuring that the Clinic has the resources necessary for its operation through grant writing and fundraising activities.
• Provides supervision and direction as outlined in Personnel Policies /Procedures.
• Insures communication and coordination of schedules with 50 medical and non-medical volunteers who have committed their services to the Clinic Mission.
• Insures the maintenance of the Policy and Procedure Manual and is in compliance with  specified standards as outlined by New Mexico Health and Environment Regulations, Board of
  Pharmacy Rules and Regulations, and CLIA Regulations. Responsible to promote positive relations with the public, including service organizations, schools, churches and other non profit institutions.
